I am excited to announce that my latest book, The Assemblies of God: Our Story, is now available from Gospel Publishing House. This new popular history of the Assemblies of God offers fresh insights into familiar narratives that have shaped our movement.
This updated history incorporates not only the major events since the last AG history in the 1990s, but also incorporates many of the insights that a new generation of AG scholars have unearthed along the way.

At 170 pages, this book aims to provide a concise and accessible history, making it ideal for ministers, credentialing programs, or college courses focused on Assemblies of God history.
The book includes the following chapters:
- Chapter 1 Roots of the Revival
- Chapter 2 The Pentecostal Movement Is Born
- Chapter 3 The Hot Springs Council
- Chapter 4 Doctrinal Development
- Chapter 5 People of the Mission
- Chapter 6 Developing the Fellowship
- Chapter 7 Developing Diversity
- Chapter 8 Emerging Influence
- Chapter 9 Revival and Renewal
- Chapter 10 Changes and Challenges
- Chapter 11 Worship and Revival
- Chapter 12 Approaching the Centennial
- Chapter 13 The AG Today
- Chapter 14 Conclusion

A final personal word.
Sixteen years ago, I began my PhD journey researching the history of AG eschatology. I had no idea whether my research on the Assemblies of God would be celebrated or condemned. But God had a plan. By God’s grace, that first work opened some incredible doors for me to tell the AG’s story to a new generation. Since then, I have published a second book on AG history, contributed to AG magazine Influence, and now have a new history with the GPH.
It’s so surreal to realize that the AG story, the story of a global Pentecostal fellowship, has my name on the cover. I never imagined this day would come sixteen years ago. I feel so blessed. Thank you to the leadership of the AG and Gospel Publishing House for trusting me with this project.
